Volkswagen ID Lineup Review: Tesla Owner's Perspective

As a Tesla owner and investor, I am always keeping a close eye on the competition in the electric vehicle market. Recently, Volkswagen unveiled their highly anticipated ID lineup, which includes the ID.3 and the upcoming ID.4. Here are my thoughts on Volkswagen's latest electric offerings.

The ID.3

The ID.3 is Volkswagen's first fully electric vehicle built on their new Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) platform. This platform allows for a spacious interior and a range of up to 340 miles on a single charge. While the ID.3 is not yet available in the United States, it has received positive reviews from European drivers.

However, there are a few concerns I have about the ID.3. Firstly, the design is not as sleek or futuristic as some of its competitors, including Tesla. Secondly, the lack of a traditional dashboard and reliance on a digital display may be off-putting to some drivers. Finally, the availability of charging stations for the ID.3 may be limited, especially outside of Europe.

The ID.4

Volkswagen's upcoming ID.4 is an electric SUV that will be available in the United States. While details are still scarce, Volkswagen has promised a range of up to 311 miles on a single charge.

While the ID.4 seems promising, I am cautiously optimistic. Volkswagen has a history of reliability issues, and I am concerned that the ID.4 may fall short in this regard. Additionally, the design of the ID.4 is not as unique or eye-catching as the Tesla Model Y.

Conclusion

Overall, I believe Volkswagen's ID lineup is a step in the right direction for the electric vehicle market. However, I do have some concerns about the design, reliability, and availability of charging stations. As a Tesla owner and investor, I am excited to see more competition in the market and look forward to seeing how Volkswagen's ID lineup performs in the coming years.
